Malik Nabers clears concussion protocol
Nabers was evaluated by the independent neurologic consultant on Thursday and cleared the protocol, according to Adam Schefter. He'll be a full participant in practice on Thursday.
This update for Nabers puts him on track to return this weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles. Philly has struggled against wide receivers this season, so adding the rookie to the mix will make a big difference for the Giants.
The team's star rookie has missed the last two games after suffering a concussion in New York's Week 4 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. He practiced for the first time since suffering the injury on Wednesday.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll urged caution regarding his young wideout this week, too.
We’ll go through today. I’m optimistic, but I’m not going to push anything. That type of injury you want to be smart with. But he is doing much better, and it’ll be good to have him out here at practice today.” — the team’s official website
Nabers has been an absolute revelation so far this season. Playing in just four games so far, Nabers has totaled 35 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns.
If he stays healthy, he will be on track for rookie of the year consideration by season's end.

It goes even deeper now.
