The Lamar Jackson situation with the Baltimore Ravens is riveting. Jackson doesn't have an agent, so his negotiations are up to him. Clearly, it isn't working between the star quarterback and Baltimore.

Today, Jackson announced that he requested a trade from the Ravens on March 2nd. So, a deal could be made in the near future because it doesn't seem like an extension is on the way from Baltimore.

Many teams should be interested, but one is not.

The Washington Commanders are sticking with their current QB room of Jacoby Brissett and Sam Howell. That's good news for the Giants.

Howell could be an intriguing option for the future in Washington. He has shown some upside in limited playing time, but he is still an unknown.

Howell is the young, cheap option, and the Commanders believes in him – apparently.

Jackson is a much more proven option at QB, but he will come at a steep price tag. That is seemingly what is holding many teams back from going after him in a trade with Baltimore.

The Giants won't be upset that Washington is out on the former MVP, though.
