Mel Kiper Jr. has released his latest mock draft, hot off the presses, post-NFL free agency.

With less than five weeks until round one commences on April 27th, franchises are now fully invested into the Draft.

New York may have added help to their receiver corps, but Mel's latest selection will take the room to another dimension.

Jordan Addison, WR, USC

The former Biletnikoff winner (nations best wide receiver) with the Pitt Panthers, Addison is a smaller receiver, but what he lacks in measurables, he makes up for in quickness, hands, and route running.

A balanced player that can win at every level of the field, Addison has the skillset and athletic makeup to win against NFL corners.

One decorated college receiver that has taken over the NFL is frequently comped to Addison's profile.

DeVonta Smith.

The Eagles pass catcher is known far too well by Giants fans, watching him twice a year against big blue.

When explaining his reason for the selection, Mel Kiper Jr. said the following:

"Quarterback Daniel Jones is back on a four-year deal, and the Giants front office has prioritized playmakers around him. New York has given the franchise tag to running back Saquon Barkley, re-signed wideouts Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard, traded for tight end Darren Waller and added receiver Parris Campbell on a one-year deal. That's an upgraded depth chart, which also includes promising 2022 second-rounder, Wan'Dale Robinson. How about one more? Addison put up huge numbers for Pitt and USC over the past three seasons, and he could be a plug-and-play starter, getting reps in the slot and outside. This is how the Giants' passing offense can take a big step forward."

When you list all the additions and returns as Kiper did, you can see how drafting Addison immediately changes the offense.

In an offense that was running the wildcat at times last season, the lack of explosive plays was well-documented.

With Waller stretching the seam, Slayton, Robinson and Addison racing on the perimeter, and the Jones-Barkley duo in the backfield, this offense becomes a powerhouse.

Now, Addison has a real chance of going to New York at 25, thanks to a combine performance where some hoped he would run faster given his 5'11, 173-pound frame.

I'm here to tell you that a 4.49 is plenty fast for one, and I've never watched Addison and said, "man if only he was a tick faster."

If Addison is still available at 25 come April 27th, the Giants won't need the full 10 minutes to make their selection.
