The New York Giants have been busy this week. The 2024 NFL season began on Thursday evening, and New York will open their play on Sunday. They've got an NFC clash on tap to start the games that count.

The Giants got some fantastic news on Friday afternoon, too.

Brian Burns and Drew Lock good to go vs. Vikings

Neither player is on the injury report on Friday. Accordingly, they will both be active for Week 1.

The Giants acquired Brian Burns this offseason to take their pass rush to the next level. Lock is expected to be their backup QB for New York this season when healthy.

The injury report for this Week 1 matchup is quite unique. Neither team has a player with a game status from injury.

A handful of players are dealing with ailments, but all are expected to be active for each team. Every player on the Giants' side of the report practiced in some capacity on Friday.

That is a great sign for New York, who do not possess a ton of depth in their secondary or along the offensive line.

As for Minnesota, two veterans had rest days on Friday. No one missed practice due to injury on the report.
