The New York Giants got some unfortunate news on Tuesday. Starting linebacker Jarrad Davis is headed to injured reserve with a knee injury. He suffered the injury during OTAs and will miss the entire 2023 season.
Davis was a starter at the end of last year and looked to have a starting role for this season. He totaled 16 tackles and half of a sack in his limited playing time a season ago. The addition of free-agent LB Bobby Okereke now looms even larger for New York. Outside of him, they have little proven talent at the position.
Micah McFadden and Darian Beavers look like the most likely options to start at inside linebacker alongside Okereke for the Giants. They could add another name in free agency as well.
