Giants QB Jaxson Dart has heartbreaking reaction to star RB Cam Skattebo’s gnarly injury
Jaxson Dart couldn’t believe it when his teammate went down.
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo have built a strong bond, and the two rookies have shown in recent weeks that the Giants’ future is bright.
However, it seems Dart will be without the Giants’ other offensive star after Skattebo sustained a horrible injury in the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Eagles linebacker Zack Baun tackled Skattebo, and after the play, it was clear the running back’s right ankle was pointing the wrong way.
Following the play, Dart’s reaction was caught on camera, as the quarterback began screaming and crouched down on the ground while watching his teammate and friend struggle in clear pain.
Before his injury, Skattebo had three carries for 12 yards and one reception for an 18-yard touchdown.
While nothing is official, it’s likely Skattebo’s impressive rookie season will end after this one.

In a very classy move, the Eagles fans at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday all stood up and gave the running back a well-deserved ovation as he was carted off.
The entire Giants bench also surrounded him before he was taken off the field, hugging him and showing him lots of love.
