Rakeem Nunez-Roches contract details with Giants are revealed
New York inks the former Super Bowl champion to a three year deal.
The Giants approached free agency with the idea of no flash, all grit. Their two signings thus far prove that, especially with Rakeem Nunez-Roches on board.
Per Over the Cap, Nunez-Roches has signed a three-year, $12 million dollar contract with $7.465 million guaranteed, and $5.465 million fully guaranteed at signing.
Here's how the contract breaks down:
Base salaries:
- 2023: $1.165 million (fully guaranteed)
- 2024: $2.865 million
- 2025: $3.565 million
If Nunez-Roches is on the roster on the 5th day of the 2024 league year, $2 million of his salary will be fully guaranteed. He also has a prorated bonus of $1.4m in 2023-2025 and a $35k roster bonus in 2023-2025.
Nunez-Roches has a $4 million dollar APY, ranking him 49th at his position in yearly average.
With a cap hit of only $2.6 million in 2023 (1.2% of team's total cap), the Giants can continue to refine the team in free agency.
