Giants re-sign veteran WR Darius Slayton
The Giants leading receiver from last year is coming back.
The Giants have brought back a key contributor from the 2022 squad.
Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the New York Giants have agreed to terms with Darius Slayton.
Slayton totaled 46 receptions for 724 yards in 2022, leading the team in receiving yards and proving to be the most reliable pass catcher down the stretch of the season.
Slayton worked his way up from a bench role to seemingly the best option on a squad purged by injury and missed assessments.
The Giants now have two newly signed receivers, a new tight end, and their leading receiver from last year under contract for 2023.
Update:
Per Mike Garafalo of NFL Network Slayton's deal is: two years, $12 million base value with a max value of $16.5 million.
