The New York Giants quarterback situation continues to get worse.
They just lost Daniel Jones to a season-ending injury after he torn his ACL in the Giants loss to the the Las Vegas Raiders. And now they could be without Tyrod Taylor for the rest of the season.
According to head coach Brian Daboll, it is uncertain at this time whether Taylor will return this season.
"I can’t give you that answer," Daboll told reports on Monday. "I can’t tell you how he’s going to heal or things like that. So, we’ll see."
This leaves the Giants with undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito or veteran quarterback Matt Barkley, who is on the Giants practice squad.
And Daboll gave praise to the rookie after the news broke.
"I think Tommy did a good job, but again I’m not going to give you one thing and it’s a different thing," he said. "I have confidence in Tommy. He’s done a good job. But I’ll sit down and talk with Joe and figure out what’s next."
Let's see what the Giants do going forward.
