The New York Giants are on track to have a premier selection in round one of the 2025 NFL Draft. They will also have a quarterback need on the table most likely.

Daniel Jones has seemingly played his last down for New York, due to his contract, and his replacement could be a prospect in the upcoming rookie class. Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders has emerged as a projected top ten pick and possibly the first QB selected.

Sanders will probably be on the Giants' radar. Does it seem like he wants to be in New York next year as the team's hopeful long-term answer at the QB position? No one can know for certain, but the young QB seems open to the idea.

Shedeur Sanders to NY?

Sanders may have let a useful hint slip about his intrigue in the Giants as a landing spot for him with Buffaloes wide receiver Drelon Miller on an episode of his podcast, 2Legendary.

When New York came up as an option for Sanders, the QB had a smile that did not leave his face until they moved to a new topic. There was a potential giddiness about heading to New York in April for the Buffs starter.

“Come on, man, I don’t know. Nah I think it’s just up to the staff or up to the coaches at that point, I don’t know—no comment, that’s just a safe route for me. Just no comment.” — Sanders

As of now, New York is picking fourth overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. They've benched Daniel Jones, and indications are that they will start QB Tommy DeVito for the time being.

The Giants have shown interest in Sanders, too. At multiple Colorado games, Giants scouts and/or front office members have reportedly been in attendance to see he and his teammates play.

If Sanders is available for the Giants wherever they select, there will be plenty of intrigue regarding that potential marriage of team and prospect.
