The Giants continue to add to the receiving corps, furthering the notion that they have a type when it comes to wide receivers.
Per Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, the Giants are signing Jamison Crowder to a one-year deal.
Crowder last played for Buffalo before his time in New York with the Jets and Washington.
The eight-year veteran has been a proven commodity in the slot when healthy, recording over 4600 receiving yards, and 28 touchdowns over 100 games played.
Similar to their other additions at the position this year, the signing won't blow you away, but t doesn't have to.
The Giants are obviously planning to address the position in the draft while adding veteran talent to round out the room.
I know this may not be the D-Hop trade you want or the OBJ splash signing/reunion you crave, but if Crowder is healthy, taking a one-year flyer at likely minimal cost will have more pros than cons.
