At long last, the New York Giants have finally addressed the wide receiver position in free agency. So who's the big name headed to New York?

Per Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, the Giants have signed former Jets wide receiver Jeff Smith.

Smith obviously won't have to travel far to suit up for his new team, making the transition from Jets green to Giants blue.

Over his four-year tenure with the Jets, Smith recorded 34 receptions for 426 yards.

I understand how this may come across as underwhelming in terms of big-name free-agent signings, but this is an obvious depth piece.

Smith is the type of player that rounds out the room with the loss of Kenny Golladay and Kadarious Toney.

If the Giants have shown anything to their fans thus far in free agency, it's that they have something up their sleeve.

The front office is proving that New Yorker's can be patient when needed.
