The New York Giants are making another change at quarterback. Off the back of a couple of rough outings, rookie sensation Tommy DeVito is heading to the bench for New York.

Tyrod Taylor is replacing DeVito as the team's starting QB to finish the season, according to multiple sources.

Taylor came in for Devito during the team's loss in Week 16 to the Philadelphia Eagles. Taylor gave the offense a charge that they lacked over the past couple of games. He pushed the ball downfield a bit more and maneuvered the pocket  more efficiently.

Accordingly, the Cinderella story run for DeVito has probably come to a close. He will return to a backup option for the Giants. He showed flashes of impressive athleticism and upside in his time on the field this year. New York is probably happy about that.

In six starts, DeVito completed 63.6% of his passes for 1,087 yards, eight TDs, and three interceptions. On the ground, he ran for 195 yards and one TD.

Taylor threw for 133 yards on 7/16, one touchdown, and an interception against Philly. The offense found more success on the ground with him in the game, too.

DeVito has gone viral on social media for his personality and mantra over the past month, so his starting opportunity was certainly not for nothing.
