At last, it's finally game day for the New York Giants – and it's a big one. The Giants will play host to the rival Dallas Cowboys under the lights on a national stage for Sunday Night Football.

There was a bit of concern that the Giants could be without the offseason addition of Darren Waller in the divisional clash. Waller was dealing with a hamstring issue late in the week, putting him on the injury report.

Fortunately, it appears that Waller is all good to go for week one. He practiced on the same day that he was added to the injury report, which was a good sign. Now, it's being reported that he is full-go.

Which is obviously significant news for the New York Giants. New York could ill afford to be without Waller, who looks to be the team's biggest weapon on the outside. Dallas would have been able to key-in on Saquon Barkley much more if Waller was absent from the action.

The Giants got a bit of a preview of what the Daniel Jones to Waller connection will look. During the preseason, Waller grabbed three passes for 30 yards – good for an average of a first down – from Jones in his first action with his new team.

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn will likely throw different defenders at Waller, such as safeties Jayron Kearse and Markquese Bell. It will be important for the Giants to win that matchup in order to come out of week one with a victory.
