The New York Giants are overflowing with receivers.

While the validity of the group is questionable, the amount of slot receivers is abundant.

So with that in mind, today we're going to highlight the camp battle between these Giants pass catchers:

The Vet: Sterling Shepard

Shepard has been one of the most reliable receivers for the Giants when on the field over his seven seasons in New York.

What's unreliable is his ability to actually get to the game, however, as he has been plagued by injuries for the duration of his career.

But Shepard has looked good this offseason, showing impressive agility and suddenness for any 30-year-old wideout, especially one with the lower body injuries he has sustained.

So while our next featured WR hopes to be the next big thing, Shepard aims to prove he's still got it.

The Rookie: Jalin Hyatt

Hyatt was drafted to create more explosive opportunities for this Giants’ offense. His elite takeoff and downfield burst are evident, but how durable and capable of handling NFL-level physicality is to be determined.

That's why despite a skill set that lends him to an outside alignment, Hyatt's best case to see the field in 2023 will come from the slot, only adding to the different types of receivers that New York employs.

The Forgotten One: Wan’Dale Robinson

Robinson is likely to start the season on the PUP list (physically unable to perform) as he rehabs his ACL tear that occurred late in his rookie season.

How far along Robinson is will likely become more evident as we get closer to the season, but he showed flashes of being a serious weapon in 2022, meaning you can't forget about him once he returns to health this season.

The Veteran Signing: Jamison Crowder

Crowder is also rehabbing a lower-body injury, coming off a broken ankle that he suffered in October of last season.

He is farther along than Robinson, but he is the least likely to be the number one option in the slot, even if that's where he's thrived for much of his career.
