The New York Giants are set to play their first-ever game in Germany on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers but two defenders got hit with fines from their week nine loss to the Washington Commanders.

Inside linebacker Micah McFadden was fined $5,966 for a hit drop tackle from the second quarter and defensive tackle D.J. Davidson was fine $5,964.06 for a facemask at the end of the fourth quarter.

The former Indiana Hoosier McFadden was trying to get a fourth down stop to prevent the Commanders from scoring before the end of the first half. The Commanders handed the ball off to Austin Ekeler and it was close, but he did get the first down. McFadden's tackle was deemed a hip drop upon review by the league, which resulted in the fine.

On the first play after the two minute warning in the forth quarter, Davidson was flagged for committing a facemask penalty on running back Chris Rodriguez. That allowed the Commanders to continue running the clock and seal the win.

Both fines are eligible for appeal if the players so choose.
