Giants fans will be glad that’s over.
New York has needed a weapon in the passing game since week one of last season. Whether it was failed free agents or missed draft picks, things just didn't work.
Seemingly content with waiting until the draft to target a receiver, Giants fans were starting to feel antsy about their lack of moves in free agency when it comes to pass catcher.
Then came the biggest move of free agency thus far, the massive Darren Waller trade.
Waller will surely add to a pedestrian passing game, but we will dive into the impact of this trade at a later time.
For now, Waller ends a hideous stat when it comes to the Giants franchise and tight ends.
Something that seems odd in light of names like Jeremy Shockey and those before him, but the truth is that impactful tight ends are hard to come by.
If Waller proves to stay fit, Giants fans will be glad this deal was done.
