The New York Giants have had a busy off-season.
From extending QB Daniel Jones to signing players like LB Bobby Okereke and WR Parris Campbell or trading for TE Darren Waller, they have been active.
Could another major move be on the way for their defense? Star safety Buddy Baker has requested a trade from the Arizona Cardinals.
The Giants could use a high-impact safety to combo with Xavier McKinney.

Not to mention, Baker wants a new contract that would be extremely expensive. His ball production probably doesn't include the value in order to be the highest-paid safety in football.
It would be an ultra-aggressive move by New York. It will cost draft compensation, and the Giants can use as much of that as possible.
The Giants don't have a plethora of cap space at the moment, and they'll have even less after the draft in a couple of weeks.
Baker could be useful for their defense, but he wouldn't be worth the picks and pay that he would require most likely.
The Giants should rely on the continued development of McKinney and look to grab a safety on day two or early on day three of the draft in order to supply some depth. They could also add a free-agent veteran after the draft, too.
