The New York Jets have a ton of draft assets and maybe a bigger chance than any team in the league to walk out of the 2026 NFL Draft with a completely renewed team.

In today’s seven-round mock draft, we will make sure they squeeze every bit of juice out of this thing.

RD1, Pick 2: Rueben Bain Jr., edge, Miami

The Jets start off the party by getting the best defensive player of the entire class. Bain had 83 pressures and 12 sacks in 2025, helping the Hurricanes reach the National Championship game. Bain and McDonald give the Jets the pass rush they really lacked in 2025.

RD1, Pick 16 Denzel Boston, WR, Washington

The Jets are not going to get Carnell Tate or Makai Lemon unless they trade up for them. That’s not likely to happen.

What they get here is one of the best receivers in the draft at 16. Boston gives the Jets an X-Receiver who can get the contested catch downfield or in the end zone and helps take all of the attention off Garrett Wilson.

Second-round pick brings Kyler Murray to New York in trade

The Jets need a starting quarterback, and with Fernando Mendoza going right before they pick, there’s really nobody out there that can truly help them.

Singing Kirk Cousins our something like that is not the way to go. Murray, who has fallen out of favor in Arizona, could be right at home with Tanner Engstrand and the weapons we’re surrounding him with here.

Jets get: Kyler Murray
Cardinals get: 33rd pick, 103rd pick, and 218th pick.

RD2, Pick 44: Will Lee, CB, Texas A&M

With Sauce Gardner gone, the Jets could use some help at cornerback. Lee was pretty solid in the SEC this year.

The Jets could very well look to fill the cornerback spot earlier, but they just have so many other pressing needs, and the fact that they didn’t get a pick in 2025 seems more about the team not getting enough pressure than anything else. Lee allowed a reception percentage of 54.2% in 2025, and he had eight pass breakups.

Trade up with the Giants

The Jets didn’t have to go far to ask about this trade. The Jets did not have a fourth-round pick, and the third was traded as part of the Murray deal. But with a solid safety just sitting there, we decided to move up into the fifth-round to grab him.

Jets get: 143rd pick
Giants get: 175th and 193rd picks

RD5, 143: Jalen Stroman, S, Notre Dame

One of the better safeties in the country in 2025. The thing that helps Stroman fit with Glenn is that he showed in Detroit that he’s a big fan of the safety blitz. Getting pressure is one of the things Stroman showed he could do in South Bend.

  • 178th pick: Kyle Louis, LB, Pittsburgh
  • 207th pick: Eli Heidenreich, WR, Navy
  • 211th pick: Seydou Traore, TE, Mississippi State
  • 242nd pick: Keyshawn James-Newby, edge, New Mexico
