Aaron Rodgers gives the most Aaron Rodgers answer of all time after Jets win

Aaron Rodgers wants precise wording all around. That's when he was asked how he felt after his first win as a quarterback of the New York Jets, he had a correction.
"Technically, my second," he joked after the Jets beat the Tennessee Titans 24-17 on Sunday. "Somehow that first one counts."
And that's because the Jets won against the Buffalo Bills in week 1 last season, and Rodgers started that game, even though he left with the Achilles injury after four offensive snaps.
On a more serious note, Rodgers talked about the feeling of his first real win for the new team.
"It feels great. Been a long time coming," Rodgers added. "I was telling Evan (Washburn) postgame on the field, 'I haven't had that in a long time.' Being able to have that energy on the field after the game means you won. It means you played halfway decent. It's good to get a win. These are kind of the games you look back on late in the season and be thankful that you won these. Because if we want to be a great team, we got to win in these types of environments against teams like that."
The Jets moved to 1-1 this season, tied with the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, and a game behind the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
Aaron Rodgers completed 18 of 30 passes for 176 yards and two touchdowns. It wasn't exactly a shiny performance, but the quarterback brings much more to the table than just his play on the field.
"A lot of times people freak out. You have to be the calming force in there, you can see it in their eyes sometimes," Rodgers pointed out. "I feel like all game, we were frustrated at times, but never got down on each other. I felt like we were very supportive and playing positive, even though we were frustrated not getting G (Garrett Wilson), I was frustrated not getting G enough balls. We didn't run the ball very well in the first two and a half quarters, I think. We stayed confident and the defense came up with a couple really big plays in the first half, keeping it a one-score game. The touchdown in the second half on the first drive was important for confidence."
Through two weeks, Aaron Rodgers is tied for fifth in PFF grade (79.1) among quarterbacks, only behind Kyler Murray, Derek Carr, Geno Smith, and Sam Darnold, and tied with Josh Allen. Rodgers is fourth in passing grade (79.1).
Now, the Jets have a short week before an important challenge. On Thursday night, the team faces the New England Patriots and its strong defense in the first divisional game of the season for Rodgers.
Jets can’t fold to Haason Reddick after former first rounder’s season ending injury
The New York Jets and those damn Achilles tendons. Last season the Jets famously lost Aaron Rodgers to a torn Achilles just four plays into the season. A few games later, do-it-all offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker went down with the same injury. The injury put both players on a long and difficult road to recovery, […]
