It was no secret that the New York Jets were not thrilled when it was announced that they were the team selected for HBO's "Hard Knocks."

And head coach Robert Saleh was one of the most outspoken about this, admitting that the Jets were not one of the teams who wanted to be featured in the hit show. But that didn't stop the league from selecting them.

On Tuesday, Aug. 8, "Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the New York Jets" premiered, but one member of the organization did not to watch.

According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, Saleh didn't watch the episode, instead opting to go to bed by 9 p.m. ET. And apparently he is "waiting for his wife to fill him in on how it went."

The Jets were selected for the show because they don't meet one of their three guidelines.

The guidelines exclude teams with a first-year head coach, those that have earned a playoff berth in the past two seasons, and teams that have appeared on Hard Knocks within the last 10 years.

Saleh is entering his third season as head coach and the Jets have not earned a spot in the playoffs since 2010.

In June, Saleh voiced his opinion on the possibility.

“I know there are several teams that would love for ‘Hard Knocks’ to be in their building. We’re just not one of them,” he said.

However, the show has really shown the Jets in a very positive light and makes many excited for the upcoming season.
