The 2024 NFL Draft is under two months away and the New York Jets officially know where they are picking in all seven rounds (or at least the five rounds they actually have picks).

The NFL released its compensatory selections on Thursday, which paved the way for Friday's official release. The Jets have eight total picks that include only two selections in the first four rounds/103 picks.

The Jets do not have a second-round pick because of the trade with the Green Bay Packers last off season that brought Aaron Rodgers to New York. New York dealt their fifth-round selection to the Denver Broncos for Jacob Martin and their seventh-round pick to Baltimore for Chuck Clark.

Meanwhile, the Jets received three compensatory picks, taking their total selections to eight.  One of the Jets compensatory selections is number 257, the last pick in the draft, otherwise known as Mr. Irrelevant.

They traded one of those compensatory picks to the Baltimore Ravens along with Denver's fourth-rounder they received as part of the Martin deal in exchange for RT Morgan Moses and the Ravens' fourth-rounder.

Jets' official picks in the 2024 NFL Draft

  • Round 1: No. 10 overall
  • Round 3: No. 72 overall
  • Round 4: No. 111 overall
  • Round 4: No. 134 overall (via BAL)
  • Round 6: No. 185 overall
  • Round 7: No. 256 overall
  • Round 7: No. 257 overall

They will look to add more draft capital in the coming weeks with a potential trade of Zach Wilson, but with the price for failed young QB's diminishing, it will likely be another day three pick.

The Jets will need to do their due diligence with five of their seven picks coming on day three of the draft.  Douglas will need to be clever in finding some diamonds in the rough in order to re-tool this team for a championship run.
