New York Jets running back Breece Hall will not like the latest news from the NFL.

The league announced on Saturday that Hall was fined $43,709 for unnecessary roughness in the Atlanta Falcons win over the Jets.

This was the largest fine handed out for the week.

Hall lowered his head to initiate contact with Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell. He remained down on the ground after being hit by Hall and was taken into concussion protocol.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero added some additional context to the report, writing that Hall makes $61,931 a week on his rookie contract.

So this one will definitely sting.

And he didn't hold back when hearing about the report.

Terrell is listed as questionable for the Falcons game this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Falcons Kaden Elliss was also fined for unnecessary roughness on a play in the fourth quarter for $10,927.

Hall was one of 22 players fined this week, but his was the steepest. Pittsburgh Steeler's Elandon Roberts has to pay the next highest fine for $21,855.

The running back finished the game with 13 carries for 16 yards. The offense didn't score a single touchdown, getting their points from one safety in the first quarter and two field goals later on.

Hall has been with the Jets since last season, getting drafted in the second round with the 36th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He finished his rookie season with 80 carries for 463 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, along with 19 receptions for 218 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

This season, the whole team was hoping things were going to be different after the Jets brought in Aaron Rodgers. But unfortunately, the MVP quarterback tore his ACL four plays into his debut with the Jets. So Hall and the rest of the offense had to go back to Zach Wilson.

But Hall is still doing better than his rookie year.

This season, he has a total of 137 carries for 585 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns, along with 44 receptions for 349 receiving yards and two touchdowns. And there are still five games left. .
