Peyton Manning revealed on the Pat McAfee Show that his Netflix show "Quarterback" has already been renewed for a second season.

The first season of the 8-episode documentary series follows Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota during the 2022 NFL season on and off the field. So far,

"Season two has been greenlit by Netflix," Peyton Manning told Pat McAfee. "We're hoping for more quarterbacks, it's easier to say yes. I don't want to hear it's going to be a distraction because that's not true."

Manning also said that they like the format of having quarterbacks in different situations and stages of their careers. So as a reaction to the news, allow me to list my guess/prediction for the quarterbacks featured in Season 2. Let's dive in.

Top 3 Candidates for Season 2 of Netflix’s ‘Quarterback’

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

Peyton Manning got it right by featuring the best quarterback in the NFL for its opening season Patrick Mahomes. So why overthink it? Get Joe Burrow, arguably the second-best quarterback in the league, in Season 2.

The Bengals quarterback's charisma is off the charts in the most cocky yet charming way that only Joey Brr can pull off. Judging by his countless mic-drop moments in interviews and press conferences, Burrow is made for the Netflix special.

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Prescott would most resemble the Cousins’ role of season one. This will be his eighth season in the NFL and although he’s consistently been one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the league, he has no shortage of detractors due to a lack of a deep playoff run.

Although Jerry Jones and Stephen Jones have suggested they plan on extending him as soon as possible, Prescott has a $59M cap hit coming up in 2024. The writers of the show could certainly handle the storyline with a dose of drama as he enters one of the most important seasons of his career.

Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers

Purdy is my wildcard. While we still have to fill the Marcus Mariota role of a quarterback facing his “last chance to be a franchise quarterback,” why not change it up with a very young quarterback near the start of his career?

That would provide a breath of fresh air for Season 2. Rookies are dealing with too much, though. So instead give me the San Francisco 49ers' Mr. Irrelevant who shocked the NFL world last year with a run to the NFC Championship Game.

It would also have some extra drama with Trey Lance and Sam Darnold stepping on his toes at every turn. It's almost too perfect.
