Kendrick Bourne has not been quiet about his desire to return to the New England Patriots next season.
And it seems they want him back.
According to the Boston Herald's Andrew Callahan, the Patriots have offered the impending free-agent wide receiver a contract.
It was reported by MassLive over the weekend that "the two sides aren’t seeing eye-to-eye on his market value."
"At this time, it seems unlikely that the team will sign Bourne before free agency begins on March 11," MassLive wrote. "The receiver, coming off a knee injury, is expected to have interest around the NFL."
But it seems something has changed.
Bourne has used his social media platform to send a message to the Patriots.
Bourne was set to have one of his best seasons prior to the injury, finishing with 37 total receptions for 406 receiving yards and four touchdowns across eight games.
In his seven years in the league, Bourne has 264 receptions for 3,409 receiving yards and 21 receiving touchdowns. He also has 19 carries for 168 rushing yards.
The official "legal tampering" period for NFL free agency will start on Monday, March 11, so if they can get a deal done before then, it would put them in a good spot.
