The will they or won't they saga continues to be a common theme in New England.

And no one knows that more than Rob Gronkowski.

Many Patriots legends throughout the years took their time with big decisions, whether it be retirement or looking to head elsewhere for the next chapter of their career. So why is that?

"Coach Belichick always engraved in us, hey, don't make a decision a week or two after the season. Because the emotions are flying high," Gronkowski said on the Up & Adams Show. "Take your time. Let everything settle in. Don't just make a decision based off of what happened before or what happened that season."

And this provides some serious insight into the top storyline in New England at the moment. Will Bill Belichick remain the head coach of the New England Patriots or will they move on?

But Gronkowski's explanation proves why the decision isn't expected to come so quickly. Instead, owner Robert Kraft and Belichick will meet and talk through the different possibilities.

I mean, six Super Bowl championships isn't something that can be forgotten this quickly. And if you ask Gronkowski, he has long held the belief that Belichick isn't going anywhere, saying it would not be in the best interest of the team.

So while fans are anxiously waiting for the announcement, I wouldn't  count on it being as soon as you might hope for.
