The New Orleans Saints need a bounce-back performance in Week 5. They will face the New England Patriots.
The Patriots are the only team that suffered a more embarrassing loss in Week 4 than the Saints on Sunday. They fell 38-3 to the Dallas Cowboys.
Now, it gets even harder for New England as they will be without star pass rusher Matthew Judon and standout rookie cornerback Christian Gonzalez for the foreseeable future. Their timetable is indefinite, so the Saints will not see them in Week 5.
For New Orleans, they have to take advantage of a banged-up defense for the Pats.
The Saints offensive line must build on an improved Week 4 performance, and Derek Carr should have the best game of his young Saints career. Ultimately, OC Pete Carmichael Jr. needs to have an impressive performance, too.
The pressure is mounting for every piece of the Saints roster and coaching staff, but the latest Patriots injury news makes Week 5 easier for New Orleans.
