We are officially just one day out from the 2025 NFL Draft, which means the speculation around what the Philadelphia Eagles will do is almost over.
But until the picks are in, there's still time for some last-minute fun. So with that in mind, here are three hidden gems the Eagles could target after Day 1 of the draft.
ROUND 3: Linebacker Smael Mondon Jr., Georgia
The Eagles showed noticeable improvement at linebacker in 2024 compared to their rough 2023 campaign, largely due to the efforts of Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean. However, beyond those two, the depth chart lacks standout talent, making it likely the team will look to strengthen the position this weekend.
And knowing just how much the Eagles love their Georgia Bulldogs, they could target linebacker Smael Mondon Jr. on Day 3.
In 51 games with the Bulldogs, Mondon amassed 212 total tackles, including 18 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and one interception. Mondon also showcased his versatility in pass defense, logging five pass breakups.
ROUND 5: Offensive Lineman Miles Frazier, LSU
The Eagles will be looking for Mekhi Becton's replacement, and Miles Frazier could be their guy if they don't land someone earlier.
Frazier kicked off his collegiate career at Florida International University (FIU), where he earned Freshman All-America honors in 2021. He then transferred to LSU in 2022 and became a key member of their offensive line, starting 39 of 40 games over three seasons. His college experience spans multiple positions, including right guard, left guard, and right tackle.
Frazier was extremely dominant at right guard for LSU in 2024 and did not allow a single sack across 545 pass-blocking snaps, per Pro Football Focus.
One year before that, Frazier was part of LSU's offensive line that was a finalist for the Joe Moore Award in 2023, recognizing the nation's top offensive line unit. He was also a standout in the early pre-draft process at the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl.
ROUND 7: Safety J.J. Roberts, Marshall
The Eagles have a solid secondary, though they will need to add some depth at safety after sending C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans.
The good news is that they might not have to use an early-round pick on doing so, and instead, target Marshall's J.J. Roberts on the final day of the draft.
Roberts began his collegiate career at Wake Forest, where over three seasons he racked up 46 tackles, three forced fumbles, and one interception. Seeking to be closer to his West Virginia home, Roberts transferred to Marshall University in 2022.
At Marshall, Robers became a standout player, leading the team with 94 tackles in the 2024 season. He also led the Sun Belt Conference with 14 pass deflections, ranking second in the FBS.
Roberts' versatility, having played both cornerback and safety, along with his physicality and athleticism, has drawn attention from several NFL scouts.
