The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to face the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs, but they will continue to keep things light at practice for a handful of their key players.

The Eagles kicked off their practice week resting five key starters including wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee), running back Saquon Barkley, center Cam Jurgens, left tackle Jordan Mailata, and defensive end Josh Sweat.

Brown, who dealt with a lingering knee injury this past year, even went as far as to confirm with reporters that he will return to practice on Thursday and that it's "all a part of the plan."

Eagles vs. Rams Divisional Round Injury Report Observations

  • Quarterback Jalen Hurts had previously been listed on the injury report with a broken finger, but he is officially off of it.
  • Cornerback Darius Slay, who briefly left last Sunday's win with an elbow injury, is also not listed.
  • Wide Receiver DeVonta Smith is not on the list either after landing on last week's with a "back/rest" designation.
  • Backup quarterback Kenny Pickett injured his ribs in Week 16 and then again in Week 17. He was limited in practice all of last week, so it's a good sign he's back in full.
  • Wide receiver A.J. Brown injured his knee ahead of Week 16's matchup but has played through the injury.
  • The Eagles appear to be playing it safe and signed wide receiver Parris Campbell to the active roster.
  • Starting linebacker Nakobe Dean (knee) was officially placed on Injured Reserve.
  • Veteran linebacker Oren Burks and rookie Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will take Dean's first-team reps.
  • Philly also signed familiar face Nicholas Morrow to the practice squad for emergency depth at linebacker.
  • The Eagles opened defensive tackle Byron Young's (hamstring) 21-day practice window last week.
