Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown is on tap to play in his second Super Bowl in three seasons as quarterback Jalen Hurts' top target.
But according to Brown, he would not have made it this far without his hero.
"My father," Brown said when asked by reporters who his hero was. "He's the reason why I'm in this situation. Why I'm in this opportunity, besides God. He got me prepared for moments like these. He was hard on me. Gave me love when I needed it. That's my dad, yeah."
Even while often overshadowed by Saquon Barkley and the Eagles' run game, Brown managed to finish the 2024 season posting solid numbers.
Brown hauled in 67 receptions for 1,079 yards, and seven touchdowns. He finished the year tied for 10th in receiving yards after contact and ranked in the top 10 in catches for 10-plus yards, 20-plus yards, and 40-plus yards.
Looking over the last three seasons with the Birds, Brown has been as consistent as can be racking up 283 total catches for 4,297 yards and 27 touchdowns. He also earned an All-Pro nod for every year.
It takes a certain kind of mentality and work ethic to be as consistent and as talented as Brown, and it's clear that was learned at an early age, with special thanks to his father, Arthur Brown.
