Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver AJ Brown is still playing the blame game after a critical miscue on Sunday.

In the Eagles' loss to the New Orleans Saints, Garnder Minshew was intercepted on a pass intended for AJ Brown.

After the game, Brown told reporters that he was trying to get Minshew's attention before the snap to tell him not to throw the ball his way after Saints defensive back Marshon Lattimore called out Browns' route. Minshew never looked up and Lattimore jumped the route for an easy pick-six.

Brown was specifically asked if Minshew's lack of experience in Philly's offense was the reason for the mistake.

“I don’t think that’s the case," said Brown, indicating that the mistake was preventable. "I just don’t think he looked up. He just saw one look and stayed with that look.”

On Monday, Brown tweeted about the play in response to a film breakdown from former Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho.

"I have a now route," wrote Brown in a since-deleted tweet. "When I get a certain look like I did which makes my route becomes dead and he works the other side. My route becomes a (LOG) route which means (For the love of the game). Which also means I’m not getting the ball."

"I play the game with everything in me so all that loaf shii [sic] is bs," continued Brown. "I’m not even tripping on mistakes because we all make them. But questioning my effort when I give my entire life to the game is a no for me."

It certainly feels like Brown is putting all the blame on Minshew. And maybe that's the case. But it's never wise to throw your teammates under the bus. Just a simple "it was a miscommunication" would've sufficed. Instead, it feels as though Brown is more worried about how he's perceived.

That's usually not the best approach to have, but Brown and starting quarterback Jalen Hurts, who didn't play against the Saints due to injury, have a great relationship together, so this is something that I don't think will be a problem in the locker room. Still, Brown should probably reconsider how he handles these moments in the future.
