Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is done with the media speaking for him and spreading rumors that he is "unhappy" and wants a trade.

The Eagles star took matters into his own hands and called into Philly sports radio 94WIP on Friday to unleash the truth.

"I want to be here. It's as simple as that," Brown said. "I love where I'm at, it's simple as that. Next question.

"I'm the person you need on this team because I am willing to hold people accountable, make people around me better," Brown said later. "But nobody sees that. All you see is the little flare-ups … Nobody in that building works harder than me, I can stand on that and say that."

Brown also expressed that he felt "misunderstood" as a player and person.

"You see me getting upset on the sideline and you automatically think it's about targets," he said. "No, no, what if I'm holding my players accountable? What if I'm the guy who pushes everybody in the locker room?"

All the speculation about Brown's frustration with the team came from when the Eagles dropped five of their final six games following a 10-1 start to the 2023 season.

After that, Brown went silent for two weeks and deactivated his social media.

The last time something like that happened was right before he was traded by the Tennessee Titans to Philly.

However, Brown claimed that there was no beef in the Eagles locker room during that time and he wasn't upset with the organization, Jalen Hurts, or any of his teammates.

"The locker room was fine," Brown said. "Players wasn't executing, that's what it came down to. I think the media kind of ran with the coaches…It was the players not executing."

Brown clearing the air might help him catch a break in the media but it doesn't completely solve what happened to the disastrous Eagles this past year.

"I just want Philly to know I love them," Brown said, "and everyone who's making up rumors, you need to find another job."
