Every elite college-level football has someone currently in the NFL playing the same position they look up to.

For Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, that is quarterback Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.

The two share a special bond, which Milroe briefly spoke about during an interview at the Reese's Senior Bowl in Moblie, AL.

“When it comes to Jalen Hurts, his journey, who he is as a person is always inspiring,” Milroe said. “I always love watching them play. The Eagles are playing, I’m tuned in every Sunday, Monday, Thursday, whenever they’re playing. I appreciate him, the relationship we have, and it’s going to constantly grow."

Hurts and Milroe not only each once played for the Crimson Tide under Nick Saban, but they also grew up not too far apart from each other in Houston, TX.

The two have followed each other's journey with Hurts acting more as a mentor to Milroe.

Milroe, a top-5 draft prospect, will spend the start of the 2025 NFL Draft process showcasing his talents in front of several scouts at the invitation-only Senior Reese's Bowl this week with the hope of increasing his draft stock.

And Hurts, who is preparing to face the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9, will be on Milroe's mind.

"As he's moving forward into the Super Bowl," Milroe said, "I want to show him the best and want him to ball out, you know, behind him always."
