Former Philadelphia Eagles safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson can't help himself when it comes to talking smack — even off the field.

During the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX ring ceremony, Gardner-Johnson used the moment to call out his "haters."

He posted a video of the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX ring on social media with the caption, "Hi haters 😮‍💨."

His message was short but definitely heard, and received over 20,000 "likes" on X/Twitter.

Many were caught off guard when the Eagles traded safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson to the Houston Texans for guard Kenyon Green and a package of draft picks, including Gardner-Johnson himself, who at first thought the whole thing was an April Fool’s joke.

After chalking it up as "just business," Gardner-Johnson reflected on the move and attempted to publicly bash the franchise on multiple recent occasions, believing staff and players had issues with him.

Perhaps things were soothed over, if only for that one night, so he could get his ring.

Though leaving Philadelphia may have been a bitter pill to swallow, Gardner-Johnson is nowhere near finished making his mark in the NFL.

As he enters his seventh season, the veteran safety remains one of the league’s most disruptive playmakers in any secondary he's been a part of. In 2024, he led the Eagles with six interceptions, and through six seasons so far, Gardner-Johnson has compiled an impressive resume with 18 interceptions, 51 pass breakups, and 304 total tackles.
