The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off their 2025 season with a thrilling 24-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.

They will look to continue their momentum into Week 2 with a tough road test, and a Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs that many NFL fans have been waiting for.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are aiming to bounce back not just from their humbling 40-22 Super Bowl defeat to the Eagles, but also from a disappointing 27-21 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1

As fans wait to see these two teams face off again on Sunday evening, Chiefs expert Charles Goldman answers three looming questions.

1. This isn’t the same Eagles team from Super Bowl LIX. What do you see as this team’s biggest weakness after personnel changes in the offseason?

I’m not sure they see it so much as a rematch or revenge, but they’re looking to simply play a better game than they did in Super Bowl LIX. They’ve been pretty consistent in their messaging that the results and how they played in the Super Bowl left a bad taste in the team’s mouth. If that’s truly the case, they should at the very least put up a better showing in Week 2 and make it a competitive game.

2. With wide receiver Xavier Worthy dealing with a shoulder injury, who should the Eagles’ secondary be worried about slowing down outside of the obvious starters?

Well, Worthy did return to practice in a limited capacity on Thursday, which means you probably can’t rule him out quite yet. I’d be shocked to see him play, but it’s not impossible. As far as replacement speedsters go, Tyquan Thornton is the player the Eagles need to worry about. He was the fourth-fastest ball carrier in the league last week, per NFL Next Gen Stats. Hollywood Brown saw a pretty substantial volume increase when Worthy went out in Week 1, but I do expect a greater distribution of targets this week.

3. What is your final score prediction?

I took Chiefs 31, Eagles 30 on FOX 4 Kansas City Sports Night, and I’ll stick to that. If it’s a blowout, the Eagles are winning the game. But if it’s close, I think K.C. gets the win. This Chiefs team does a tremendous job of dragging opponents down into the mud with them, and I could definitely see that happening this time around, even in a higher-scoring game.
