Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean finally returned to training camp practice on Tuesday after missing three weeks with a hamstring injury.

DeJean did not take part in the joint-team drills with the New England Patriots, instead, the Eagles had him work out individually in order to ease him back in.

“Great,” DeJean said about being back and how his hamstring felt, via NBC Sports. “Felt great to be back out there a little bit, get moving around with the guys, just to be back out there and do football drills with all them, be back out there with my teammates. It’s good.”

While DeJean was admittedly frustrated watching 11 practices from the sideline, he said it actually helped him a lot.

“As a football player and a competitor you want to be out there every single time the team gets a chance to compete,” DeJean said. “But I’ve been doing a lot of watching, which is a little frustrating but also helps me learn from a different perspective. I can watch film with the guys in the room and talk through things and learn that way as well.”

Up until DeJean was injured, he had been adjusting well to the NFL and shining at spring practices. The Eagles do not have a set plan for how they're going to use his versatility just yet, but they have him learning nickel, corner, and safety.

“I think if you’re learning the defense, you learn all positions,” DeJean said. “I’ve been trying to learn all three positions because you never know. It’s been good to learn from the other guys in the film room when I’ve been out. Getting mental reps on the side while they’re practicing.”

DeJean will continue to rehab his hamstring which he says is going "well" and believes there's a possibility he could play in the Eagles' final preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings on August 24.
