Week 1 between the Eagles and Cowboys is already heating up thanks to some early trash talk from Micah Parsons and CeeDee Lamb.
The Cowboys went live with their “America’s Stream: Countdown to Schedule Release,” and during the stream, Parsons read a comment from an Eagles fan claiming Lamb got locked up by Quinyon Mitchell on his so-called island, “Quinyonomo Bay.”
Parsons and Lamb weren’t having it, and they clapped back with some heat of their own.
“I’m sorry, that Quinyanimo Bay don't last over here, man," Parsons said. "That (explicit) dead.”
“Stop the cap,” Lamb added. “I have never been locked down on any island.”
Lamb may have some memory loss.
In Lamb’s only appearance against Philly last season, he was largely held in check, managing just six receptions for a mere 21 yards, an average of only 3.5 yards per catch. Of those six grabs, Mitchell was responsible for allowing just one, which went for a minimal five yards.
Now, with the 2025 season set to kick off on Thursday, September 5, the two are expected to meet again in what promises to be a heated divisional showdown. And you can bet that once Mitchell hears Lamb’s recent comments, he'll be taking mental notes and be more than ready to bring that same intensity and lockdown coverage when they go head-to-head in the season opener.
The Eagles' 2024 first-round pick will enters his second season with plenty of experience under his belt. He finished his rookie year with 46 total tackles, two interceptions, and 12 pass breakups. Quarterbacks completed 54.5 percent of passes and two touchdowns all season versus Mitchell. Overall, Mitchell ended the year ranked sixth among all NFL cornerbacks, per PFF, and was named a Defensive Rookie of the Year Finalist.
