Last month, the NFL officially reinstated Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Isaiah Rodgers, who was suspended for the 2023 season for violating the league's gambling policy, which meant he was able to finally join his teammates for offseason workouts.

According to multiple reports, Rodgers has been an early standout at OTAs while taking first-team reps on defense opposite Darius Slay.

Rodgers getting first-team looks may have been because James Bradberry was a no-show at the voluntary practices last week, though Slay said he has been overall impressed by the addition of Rodgers so far.

"It's been amazing, man," Slay said when asked about Rodgers. "He's been a great addition. I've been seeing him making plays. I watched the film a couple of times. He made a lot of P-B-Us (pass breakups). He's the next one that wants to race me because he thinks he's faster than me too so, we're going to have to make that happen. I'm going to have to race him but other than that, he's been a good addition. He's been great. Man, I watched his tape in Indy and he was making plays there. Great on special teams as a returner, so he's got a lot of tools.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him in action because he can do it all, outside, inside whatever he needs to do. We've got a lot of guys in the secondary this year that can be very versatile."

The Eagles have a crowded cornerback room with 14 currently on their 90-man roster, so Rodgers is going to have to compete hard this offseason if he wants to stick around.

However, it certainly helps that he can play or fill in at multiple positions, making his chances of keeping a roster spot a lot better.
