Donald Trump didn't hesitate to fire shots at the Philadelphia Eagles during his campaign speech in the City of Brotherly Love on Saturday.

“You guys used to have good teams here. Do you still have good teams here? I don’t know. A little bit," Trump said.

A roar of boos followed.

Trump's attempt at a joke may have had to do with the Eagles' 2018 Super Bowl win while he was President.

Just like every Super Bowl winner, the Eagles were invited to the White House to celebrate with Trump.

But that was also the year that Trump called out Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the National Anthem and even went as far as to say that Kaepernick should be fired.

Because of how he responded to Kaepernick's protest, Trump lost a lot of NFL players' support that season, including several players from the Eagles. This led to only a few of them wanting to visit the White House.

And because of that, Trump went ahead and canceled the event, via Twitter/X:

"The Philadelphia Eagles Football Team was invited to the White House. Unfortunately, only a small number of players decided to come, and we canceled the event. Staying in the Locker Room for the playing of our National Anthem is as disrespectful to our country as kneeling. Sorry!"

Trump isn't helping himself with more votes after calling out the city that is home to the most passionate sports fans.

He should know better.
