Nick Sirianni believes the Eagles have something that will help their young guys on Sunday

The Philadelphia Eagles have been here before, in 2017 when they won it all. But, at the same time, this is almost a completely different team than that one. This team has seven of those players.
So, the experience is there, it's just very, very small. As for the rest of the team, well, they have something that is very similar that can help on Sunday. For a lot of these players, this is the biggest game of their lives, but that doesn't mean they haven't been in big games before.
"Playing in big games, that’s why you want guys like that from those types of programs because they have played in the biggest spotlight in college for the biggest prize," Sirianni said Thursday. "We’ve got a lot of guys on this team, the guys that you mentioned that have done that, DeVonta [Smith], Landon [Dickerson], Jalen [Hurts], Jordan [Davis], Nakobe [Dean], Josh Jobe.
"I know I’m missing some… And then obviously all the guys that we’ve had on the Super Bowl team with the [seven] guys that were on the 2017 team. So any time you’re playing in big games like that, that’s super helpful because again, it’s not that you treat it any different, but you’ve been in that scenario before and we’ve got a lot of guys that have been in that scenario before."
The Eagles still have experience in big games. They have five guys who played in the playoffs in college and some who won the national championship, which, at the time was the biggest game of their career.
Now, this one is. This game has everything riding on it in terms of the season. There is no next week if they don't win, and winning guarantees them a shot at the Super Bowl.
We have talked about this before in the past, but experience matters more than people think. It especially matters when you are playing a team like the San Francisco 49ers who also have experience, seeing as they were in the Super Bowl just a few years ago, and have been in the Championship game three of the last four years.
The Eagles will need any experience they can, and it won't be easy with the 49ers. They have an amazing offense and defense just like the Eagles. The two most balanced and complete teams will be playing each other on Sunday. So, it's almost like experience can be the thing that gives one team the edge.
