Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown called out the NFL after he was forced to change out of his bright yellow cleats in Monday night's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“Yes they did. No Fun League strikes again!," Brown wrote on X/Twitter after a fan had asked if the NFL made him chance his cleats.
Despite the fun and cool fashion statement that the cleats give off, there's actually a reason why Brown chooses to wear brighter cleats.
The reason is so that his three-year-old daughter, Jersee, can see him running during the game.
Brown got away with wearing them last season during the Eagles' 22-16 win over the New York Giants to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
After the win, Brown wrote on X/Twitter, "I wore those cleats last night so baby girl can see 'DaDa running.'"
Brown also wore a pair of neon cleats in training camp so that his daughter could recognize him.
The NFL's uniform policy states that players can only wear white, black or team-colored cleats. The league does allow customized cleats for the My Cause My Cleats game, but that only comes once a year.
The league should, however, make an exception for Brown because his reasoning for not following the dress code is just too adorable.
