A.J. Brown knows he can still get better.

The Philadelphia Eagles star receiver tallied numerous successes throughout the 2022 NFL season, and he doesn't want his success to stop there. Throughout 2023, Brown plans to get even better. His plan for doing so? Become a complete wide receiver.

“Just, being a complete receiver. I can always just work on getting in better shape so I can have more opportunity. But, just trying to be that well-rounded receiver, and do it all. I have goals of my own and definitely trying to achieve those. So, sky’s the limit.”

Part of Brown following up on a successful 2022 season is he and Jalen Hurts channeling the connection that helped land Hurts a historic contract extension.

Brown expressed satisfaction that Hurts was paid the money he deserved. And he knows that it is on both of them to re-create the offensive magic of the Eagles' Super Bowl run.

“Just to be sitting beside him is a blessing,” Brown said. “From a friend standpoint, it’s everything you can imagine. I’m so ecstatic for him. He deserves it, and I’m just excited what the future holds for him. He’s a great guy, as y’all know, he’s still that hard worker, he’s still determined to be great. So, it definitely didn’t change him, it definitely just motivated him if anything. That’s what you want.”

With Hurts last season, Brown finished fourth in receiving yards (1,496), third in touchdowns (11), and fourth in average yards per catch (17).

Though Brown wants to be a more complete receiver, he is easing into football activities. He explained that he is approaching the work in a day-to-day fashion, taking on the task directly in front of him, and allowing that perspective to take him where it may.

"Get back to work, don’t quit, because you never know, next time could be your time. We’re one day at a time, not trying to look ahead,” Brown said.

If Brown comes back as a more complete receiver, Philadelphia's offense will pick up right where it left off.
