A.J. Brown has the absolute perfect mindset heading into the 2024 season. And it all revolves around putting in the work this offseason.
Right now, Tight End University is getting a lot of attention on social media, with them all getting together and putting in the work this past week. And a lot of other position groups also meet up during the offseason.
So the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver decided that it's time for the wideouts to have one.
"Wideouts wassup? The Tight Ends get together for a weekend. The Db's link up. The pass rushers even get together. Come on guys, we can't be too big time to link up and learn. I'm a fan of everyone and willing to work with whoever. Let's make it happen wideouts. @NFL," Brown wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Many of the wideouts often commend their colleagues on special skillsets, so getting to work together will help improve each and every one of their games. So everyone should be listening to Brown and get this idea in motion.
There is plenty of time between mandatory minicamp and training camp. So, while the individual teams aren't doing anything, that doesn't mean the players can't meet up.
What is Tight End University?
Tight End University was founded by George Kittle, Travis Kelce, and Greg Olsen in 2021. The idea was to "bring the Tight End community together for an immersive three-day program."
"Over the course of the summit, attendees are able to bond, collaborate with, and learn amongst their peers while participating in a variety of activities including film study, on-field drills, recovery, rehabilitation, and more. In addition to current players, TEU also features several retired legends who provide attendees with the invaluable opportunity to learn from some of the best to ever play the game," per Tight End University's website.
And along with the on-field work, the athletes also come together to give back to the community. They raise money for different organizations and all proceeds at the end of the event are given to charity.
This is an incredible idea that allows the players to put in work and prepare for the season, while also giving back. Each and every position group across the league should get one of these started. And it seems Brown might be looking to start one, so hopefully he'll find a few other wideouts that will join him.
Let's get this thing going.
