The Philadelphia Eagles are still proving they are an elite NFL franchise, even after the Super Bowl loss.
This is a team that historically everyone respects. Sure, people and fans of other teams may dislike the team, their fans, and the city, but they respect what the Eagles have been able to do over their franchise's history.
The Eagles have had great players, and coaches in their history, and even recently they have been recognized for it. We all know how great the Eagles coaching staff was in 2022. In fact, it was one of the best in the league if not the best.
They were the most balanced team in the league all season, and both their offensive and defensive coordinators are now head coaches because of how well they did during the 2022 season.
There were five new head coaching hires this offseason, and they all have one thing in common. Each and every one of them has ties to the Eagles.
Jonathan Gannon, who was just the Eagles' defensive coordinator this season, is now the Cardinals' head coach. Sean Payton, the Broncos' new head coach, was the Eagles' quarterback coach from 1997-1998.
Frank Reich, the former Eagles offensive coordinator from 2016-2017, is now the head coach in Carolina. DeMeco Ryans, the new head coach of the Houston Texans, was a linebacker for the Eagles from 2012-2015. And of course, Shane Steichen, the new Colts head coach, was the offensive coordinator last season.
If this doesn't show how great of a franchise the Eagles are, I don't know what else is.
