The 2023 NFL Draft is almost here and the Philadelphia Eagles are doing their last bit of research as they look for the best way back to the Super Bowl.

There are a lot of players that make a lot of sense for a Philly team that really has very few needs, and this freedom could give the Eagles the opportunity to shock a lot of people with the tenth-overall pick.

Defensive line? Pass rusher? Secondary? Instead of these, why not go after the best wide receiver in the class?

Star Ohio State wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba should be available at ten, and while a pick like this may surprise a lot of people, it is hard to find a better selection when you look at this through the lens of value and need.

The Eagles have few true 'needs,' but they do have positions like safety and running back where they could improve greatly with the tenth player in the class.

Philly can address both positions in a later round or in free agency. There is almost no value at either position in the first round. The same can't be said for wide receiver.

Now, some people are going to shake their head at this notion based on the duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but what is wrong with a third top receiver?

Plenty of teams have dominated the league with three wide receivers that keep defenses up at night. The Bengals do it almost every game to great success. The Buccaneers won a Super Bowl with this strategy.

Brown, Smith, and JSN would be next to impossible to plan for, and the trio would be under contract (attainably) for the majority of the Jalen Hurts contract. Keeping your new, multi-million dollar quarterback surrounded by wide receiver talent seems like a good idea if your goal is to win a Super Bowl during the sustainable parts of his contract.

The Eagles did just bring in Olamide Zaccheaus to sit as their third guy for now, but comparing him to JSN is silly. The rookie brings far better upside, is cheaper, and should even be better from day one.

With a move like this, Philly would have all of their most important offensive positions locked down for the future and they could still address their other holes in later rounds for next to nothing.

A running back isn't going to have this impact in year one. A safety at ten won't move the needle for a team eyeing a Super Bowl.

Assuming the board falls in the right way, the Eagles have one obvious choice that stands above the rest as the best way to win in 2023 and beyond.
