The Philadelphia Eagles could be getting a boost to their wide receiver room for Sunday's NFC championship matchup against the Washington Commanders.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Eagles announced they had opened wide receiver Britain Covey's 21-day practice window.

Covey, who landed on Injured Reserve on Dec. 28 with a neck injury, was a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough. That's a good sign to kick off the week.

The Eagles were using Covey as a WR3 option at the start of the season where he logged 39 offensive snaps and hauled in seven catches for 34 yards.

Jahan Dotson has since then taken Covery's spot on offense while rookie Cooper DeJean has filled his void on the punt return.

Eagles Announce 3 New Roster Moves

In addition to the Covey news, the Eagles also signed tight end Nick Muse and offensive lineman Cameron Erving to the practice squad on Wednesday.

Muse, a former seventh-round pick of the Minnesota Vikings in 2022, has one career catch for 22 yards.

Erving, a former first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 2015 draft, has experience playing guard, center, and tackle. Aside from his start with the Browns, Erving has also had stops at the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers.

In eight seasons so far, Eriving has appeared in 98 games, making 58 starts.

In a corresponding move, the Eagles released defensive end K.J. Henry from the practice squad.
