The Philadelphia Eagles want to trade linebacker Haason Reddick, but they haven't found a suitor yet.

And until then, they don't want to pay him any more than they need to.

According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles have pushed Reddick's $1 million roster bonus due on March 15 to April 1.

"This in theory buys Philly time for a potential trade before having to pay the money," Fowler wrote on X/Twitter.

It also means that the Eagles' future trade partner would be responsible for paying Reddick's bonus.

Reddick, 29, signed a three-year, $45 million contract extension with the Eagles in back 2022, which means he enters the final year of his deal this upcoming season. He is projected to make $16 million in 2024, though none of that amount is fully guaranteed.

Reddick is looking for a bigger payday and the Eagles have made it clear in more ways than one that they don't want to give him what he wants or deserves.

Although he didn't ask for it, the Eagles granted Reddick permission to seek a trade in February.

If it were up to Reddick, he would like to stay in Philly

However, the All-Pro edge rusher knows his worth and doesn't want to settle for just $16 million after leading the Eagles in sacks in back-to-back seasons.
