The Philadelphia Eagles may have just lost the Super Bowl, but they still gained something along the way. This experience is something they will never forget.
And, to be honest, this is something that will only make them better, if they let it. If they look at it as something to harp on or make them upset, it won't.
Basically, all of the players need to take a similar approach to Jalen Hurts and what he did and said after the game. It was truly a powerful message about him and his team.
“I think the beautiful part about it is everyone experiences different pains, everyone experiences different agonies of life, but you decide if you want to learn from it," Hurts said to the media after the game. "You decide if you want that to be a teachable moment. I know I do."
This is one of the most mature guys in the league, already in his third season. You can see that in the way he speaks about the game that he loves to play. He answered it the best way possible when asked what he makes of the loss.
Then you add on that he played a great game. It wasn't perfect, but it was close. Outside of the fumble, he didn't make many mistakes. I think he proved to the world that he is a top-three quarterback in the league now.
But, it isn't about being top-three.
"I don’t do this to be loved," Hurts continued. "I don’t do this to be hated. I don’t do this to seek anyone else’s approval. I do it for the guys in the locker room. I do it for all the time that we’ve invested into this."
He proved all of the haters and doubters wrong with just his performance in the Super Bowl, even in a loss. Then, to go and have a powerful message about what this will do to
he and his team is the icing on the cake.
This team will be back, and they will be led by Jalen Hurts
