Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean gifted himself quite the birthday present during Super Bowl LIX.

DeJean, who turned 22 on Sunday, picked off Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and ran it back 38 yards for a touchdown.

The pick-six marked DeJean's first career interception and put the Eagles up 17-0 halfway through the second quarter.

DeJean was a 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year finalist after he finished the regular season with five pass breakups and held his opponents to 50 total receptions.

The former Iowa product was considered a 2024 NFL Draft steal by the Birds, who traded up with the Washington Commanders in the second round to grab him at No. 40 overall.

Before entering the NFL, DeJean was a standout at Iowa where he racked up 120 total tackles, 20 passes defended, and seven interceptions, including three returned for a touchdown, in his final two seasons with the Hawkeyes. He was also a star on special teams, returning 31 punts for 406 yards and one touchdown.

Thanks to Eagles' defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, DeJean was able to make a smooth transition to the next level.
