Reports surfaced over the weekend that the Philadelphia Eagles were taking trade calls for defensive end Josh Sweat.

Sweat broke his silence amid the rumors and commented beneath an Instagram post on the "JoshsweatFanClub" account

"I will miss you all," Sweat wrote.

Sweat has been one of the Eagles' more consistent defenders and led to team behind Haason Reddick in sacks last season, which is why it's been so surprising that Philly is ready to part ways with the veteran.

Furthermore, the Eagles signed defensive end Bryce Huff to a blockbuster deal in free agency, making it even more obvious that they're ready to move on from Sweat.

Through 17 games with 17 starts last season, Sweat logged 6.5 sacks. He had a double-digit season in 2022 with 11 sacks.

With Sweat's overall production over the last two years, the Eagles shouldn't have trouble finding a trade suitor and a nice return.
